Delhi HC dismisses PIL against Google India
A bench, led by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, dismissed financial economist Abhijit Mishra's plea against Google Pay's use and storing of Aadhaar and banking information of Indian citizens as a sheer violation of the Constitution, the Aadhar Act 2016, the Payments and Settlement Systems Act 2007, and the Banking Regulations Act.
RBI greenlights 32 companies' applications to operate as online payment aggregators
The regulator also said that while the scrutiny of applications was currently underway, to ensure greater transparency it was releasing current application status for all payment aggregators who had applied to the RBI for a license.
