KOLKATA: Slamming West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over her jail remarks, BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar on Monday demanded her resignation over corruption while asking why the Trinamool chief feared going to jail. "Why is the CM talking about going to jail? Is she scared? She spoke about it in the last press conference and even today," Majumdar said. Banerjee, during her meeting with the terminated teachers, said she does not approve of the decision of the Supreme court and was even ready to go to jail.

It is sheer corruption. In tomorrow's hearing, I hope that your cabinet and you will go to jail and whoever created these posts. Your apprehensions will come true. You are the second chief minister in the country, who will go to jail. It will be a record for selling teachers' jobs," he said.
