NOIDA: A 21-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the balcony of 21st floor of Lotus Boulevard in Sector 100 early on Saturday morning.
Police said the incident took place around 3am and suspect that the woman from Moradabad and a third-year BJMC student at a private college in Gurgaon, took her life following an argument over a phone call, cops said.
According to a senior officer from Sector 39 police station, she had returned home late after attending a party with a friend. "Around 3am, she was on a phone call in the flat and was heard arguing loudly with someone. Moments later, she jumped from the balcony of the 21st-floor flat," the officer said.

Her friend immediately informed the society guards, who alerted police.
Cops arrived at the spot and took the woman's body into custody before sending it for an autopsy. Subsequently, her family was informed.
Additional DCP (Noida) Sumit Shukla said police are speaking to the woman's friends and examining her phone.
"We are checking who she was talking to at the time of the incident and going through her call records," he said, adding that CCTV footage from the society is also being thoroughly reviewed.
No complaint in the matter has been filed by the family yet, police said.
"Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation or if a complaint is received from the family," Shukla added.
