Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ has fallen below expectations as even on day 5, which is thursday, the movie is not likely to cross Rs 100 crore. The film had released on Sunday, March 30 and ideally for big star movies like these, especially a Salman movie on Eid, Rs 100 crore mark is expected. However, the film had a lower opening than many of Khan’s previous releases. It made Rs 26 crore on Day 1. Meanwhile, on the Eid holiday which was Monday, it minted Rs 29 crore.
Sikandar Movie Review
The movie saw a drop of about Rs 10 crore on Tuesday and made only Rs 19.5 crore on Tuesday. However, on day 4 which was Wednesday, it struggled to even make a double digit mark. On Wednesday, ‘Sikandar’ earned Rs 9.75 crore, which was a drop of around 50 percent. Now on day 5, which is Thursday, the movie made Rs 2.14 crore till the afternoon shows. By the end of the day, the collection could either be at par with the Wednesday numbers or may see further drop.

According to Sacnilk, the total collection of the film so far is Rs
86.39
crore. It is less likely that the movie will cross Rs 100 crore even on Thursday. The film may do so on Friday by the end of the day, if only it remains consistent. The second weekend numbers now will play a major role in defining the film’s fate at the box office. In many theatres, ‘Sikandar’ shows have been cancelled due to low demand.

Desai mentioned, "I have gotten reviews from the public, and trade analyst Komal Nahta also told me that, ‘What was the need to kill the heroine so early on in the film?’ ‘What complex did you have?’" He also questioned the film's portrayal of Salman Khan, saying, "aap kyu asal mein Salman Khan dikhte nahi ho (Why doesn’t the real Salman Khan come forth in the film?)"
