‘Stree 2’ box office day 48: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer to touch the Rs. 700 Cr mark in India
It was just yesterday when it appeared as if Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Stree 2’ was losing its grip at the box office. However, now the reports say otherwise and the movie is inching to reach the Rs. 700 cr club.

703.35 Cr collection gross on Wednesday in India.
Talking about the overseas numbers, day 48 has seen Rs 133.75 cr business, bringing the worldwide collection - Rs 837.10 Cr.
Another point to notice is that with the public holiday on Wednesday (Gandhi Jayanti), the early trends showed almost Rs 0.85 crore for the 48th day. These numbers make ‘Stree 2’ the highest-grossing movie in the seventh week for Bollywood. It is expected that the number will only see a boost owing to the holiday vibe and the upcoming festivities.
With these numbers, ‘Stree 2’ has outrun ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which stands at a total collection of 653.21 crore at the box office on its 48th day. It is almost 254% higher earnings than the magnum opus that was backed by the star power of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and more.
Last but not least, it is worth noting that ‘Stree 2’ is now available for online streaming, and yet the collection at the BO is witnessing an upward trend. The Amar Kaushik directorial is available on Amazon Prime at a basic rent as of now, and by October 11, 2024, the subscribers of the platform will be able to watch the movie for free.

The film which has been keeping the cash registers ringing at the box office even to date, received mixed reactions after the OTT release. However, there’s one thing common in the OTT and theatrical release reviews - cinephiles have thoroughly enjoyed Akshay Kumar’s cameo as Sarkata’s last standing descendent and can’t wait to see more of him when the next chapter of the franchise unfolds.
