Nikhil Nanda, born on March 18, 1974, is the chairman and managing director of Escorts Limited. He took over the leadership in 2018 after the passing of his father, Rajan Nanda. Escorts Limited, an engineering firm, was founded in 1944 by his paternal grandfather, Har Prasad Nanda.

Nikhil Nanda had ties to Bollywood even before his marriage to Shweta Bachchan. He is the son of Ritu Nanda, daughter of legendary actor-director Raj Kapoor, making him Raj Kapoor’s maternal grandson. His uncles include Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, and Rajiv Kapoor, while Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor are his first cousins.
