Now, as per the latest report by News 18, the 'Hero No. 1' star was questioned by the Juhu Police regarding an incident in which he accidentally shot himself. According to the report, the actor explained to the police that the revolver, which was 20 years old, misfired while he was cleaning it because it was unlocked.

The report stated the police initially found no evidence of foul play; they remain somewhat unconvinced by Govinda’s account and may record his statement again shortly.

The report also revealed that Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, has also been questioned by the police. Her statement has been recorded as well. Further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Govinda has reacted to this incident and assured his fans that he's safe. He said in a voice note, "Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda, aap sab logon ke aashirwad aur maa-baap ka aashirwad, guru ki kripa ke wajah se goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyavad deta hoon yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Agarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyavad, pranaam (I am Govinda). Thanks to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Agarwal, and I appreciate all your prayers.”
Reportedly, the actor is likely to be discharged later this week. Several Bollywood stars, including David Dhawan and Shatrughan Sinha, visited the actor in the hospital.
