Tirupati Laddu controversy: Suriya reacts to Pawan Kalyan's reply on Karthi's statement over the issue

Karthi starrer 'Meiyazhagan' is releasing in theatres on September 27, and the film is also releasing in Telugu with the title 'Sathyam Sundaram'. The Telugu pre-release event of 'Sathyam Sundaram' happened on Sep 23, and it sparked controversy. Karthi was seen joking about the ongoing Tirupati Laddu controversy, while actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan mocked the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actor joking over the Laddu controversy. Following the condemnation, Karthi apologized to Pawan Kalyan and clarified his statement. Pawan Kalyan then issued a long statement for Karthi respecting his apology and wished the actor for 'Meiyazhagan' aka 'Sathyam Sundaram' release. Karthi's elder brother and actor Suriya has now reacted to Pawan Kalyan's message, and wrote "Thank you for your heartfelt wishes sir!"
Karthi didn't make any wrong statements when the host pushed the actor to speak about the Laddu controversy during the pre-release event, and he avoided the question in a peaceful manner. But he apologized to Pawan Kalyan to avoid controversies ahead of the 'Meiyazhagan' release. Fans didn't miss to support the actor over the issue as they decode his comment on social media. But at the same time, fans are slightly disappointed by Karthi's apology as he made it straight away without any clarification.
Directed by Prem Kumar, 'Meiyazhagan' is a feel-good rural drama, and the film features Karthi, Aravind Swamy, Sri Divya, and Raj Kiran in the main roles. The expectations for 'Meiyazhagan' have peaked rightly with two days to go for the film's release, while the reservations are going strong for the film.
On the work front, Suriya has the most awaited film 'Kanguva' which is directed by the hitmaker Siva.
