Naga Chaitanya breaks silence on his split with Samantha Ruth Prabhu amidst Konda Surekha's controversial claims: 'I have remained silent all this while out of deep respect for my former spouse'

Amidst the ongoing controversial statement by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha regarding KT Rama Rao’s involvement in the high-profile divorce of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, actor Nagarjuna Akkineni urged the politician to withdraw her false accusation. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu also requested Surekha to respect her as a woman. After the shocking divorce with Samantha in 2021, Naga Chaitanya had never publicly spoken about the matter, as he preferred to keep it private.

Finally, he issued an official statement about his divorce with Samantha, stating that he wanted his family and former spouse to be excluded from this false narrative. Naga Chaitanya took to his Instagram stories to share the statement, saying, “The decision to divorce is easily one of the most painful and unfortunate life decisions one has to make. After a lot of thought, a mutual decision was made by me and my former spouse to part ways. It was a decision made in peace, owing to our different life goals and in the interest of moving forward with respect and dignity as two mature adults.”

He further clarified, “However, there have been various baseless and completely ridiculous rumors on the matter so far. I have remained silent all this while out of deep respect for my former spouse as well as my family.”
He concluded, “Today, the claim made by Minister Konda Surekha garu is not only false, but it is also absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Women deserve to be supported and respected. Taking advantage of and exploiting the personal life decisions of celebrities for the sake of media headlines is shameful. - Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.”

Konda Surekha told the media that KTR had interfered in the lives of many celebrities and played a part in the split between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. She also accused KTR of involvement in drug abuse and coercion, alleging that he not only consumed drugs but also got others addicted, organized rave parties, and used these situations to blackmail people. She claimed that these actions were widely known.
To this, Naga Chaitanya reacted with a Tweet that read, "I strongly condemn the comments of the Honorable Minister, Mrs. Konda Surekha. Don’t use the lives of movie stars who stay away from politics to criticize your opponents. Please respect other people’s privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately.”

On the work front, Naga Chaitanya was last seen in the TV series 'Dhootha' which received good reviews from the audiences. The actor has the most awaited film 'Thandel' in the pipeline.
