With frequent squad changes post-auctions, Nehra emphasised the importance of chemistry and clarity. "Every three years, nearly half the squad is new. So the challenge becomes how quickly you can build that chemistry. I believe in doing the basics right. No rocket science. Just keep it simple — but keeping it simple isn't always simple."

Nehra also voiced his full backing for skipper Shubman Gill, believing the young opener is ready to lead GT into a new era.
"Gill has the hunger to learn and stay grounded. If he continues to evolve with the game, the sky is the limit for him — not just as a batter, but as a captain who can take this team forward," Nehra concluded.
