Bronny James unveils exclusive Nike LeBron Nxxt Gen AMPD PE in South Bay Lakers vs Valley Suns matchup

The young guard played a major role in leading the South Bay Lakers to a dominant 118-98 victory over the Valley Suns, ending their four-game losing streak. While Bronny has mostly been on the receiving end of the criticism for his tenure in the Lakers, his name often makes headlines for his G-League dominance.

Bronny James’ footwear grabbed wide attention during the South Bay Lakers vs Valley Suns game. The 20-year-old debuted the Nike LeBron Nxxt Gen AMPD PE, a custom hot-pink sneaker featuring a glossy metallic finish. The Nike logo appeared in a fluorescent green and gold shade, perfectly complementing Bronny’s energetic style. To add a personal touch, his jersey number 9 was embedded in the sneakers.

Following the game, Bronny shared insights about designing the shoes. He revealed that he and his brother Bryce contributed to modifying their father’s signature Nike LeBron 20s. “The [LeBron] 20s, me and my brother [Bryce James] helped a lot of those, designing the structure of the shoe and kind of changing that small forward, like forward-ish shoe to a guard shoe. I think it helps not only us, but other people, other guards to go out and buy those shoes,” Bronny explained.
Regarding the sneakers' availability for purchase, Bronny did not give much insight for fans but hinted at a possible release while declining to confirm details. “I don’t know if we can get this information out but yeah,” he said.
The sneakers quickly became a trending topic on social media. LeBron James himself was hyped about his son’s custom sneakers, resharing the post with fire emojis on his Instagram story.
Bronny finished the game with 24 points, six assists, and five rebounds. His time at the Lakers sparked intense criticism from analysts and fans alike. His mother, Savannah James, recently took to Instagram to subtly address the critics as she shared a story with an animation of a man nodding in approval.
Bronny has been thriving in the G-League. Over six regular season games, he has averaged 22.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists while shooting an impressive 45.9% from the field and 42.6% from three-point range.
Bronny will rejoin the Lakers in their upcoming matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, featuring Luka Doncic’s emotional game against his former team.
