Oakridge International School, Bachupally, hosted the PYP Hyderabad Network Swimming Fest 2024-25, bringing together 110 young swimmers from leading international schools, including Silver Oaks, The Gaudium, and Indus International. The event was a remarkable celebration of skill, perseverance, and sportsmanship as students competed in an exciting display of talent.
Among the standout performances, Krisha from Grade 5, representing Oakridge Bachupally, emerged as the Best Swimmer. She excelled in both the Breaststroke and Butterfly categories. Her remarkable feat highlighted the school's commitment to nurturing talent beyond academics.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Anuradha Varma emphasised the value of such events in fostering collaboration and growth. He said, “The PYP framework encourages learning beyond textbooks—through inquiry, teamwork, and shared experiences. Events like these help young learners develop essential life skills, pushing them to support and inspire each other as a community.”

Manas Sahoo, PE Coordinator, shared his thoughts on the event's success, adding, “Hosting the PYP Swimming Fest for the third time has been a privilege. Each year, we witness young athletes challenging themselves, embracing sportsmanship, and celebrating their progress together.”
Reflecting on her achievement, Krisha, Grade 5, shared her excitement: “Winning the Best Swimmer title was thrilling, but the real highlight was competing alongside such talented swimmers. It was an inspiring experience, and I learned so much.”
