Shivaji Satam's character of ACP Pradyuman to make an exit from CID; makers audition to cast a new ACP

One of the most iconic TV shows of Indian television, CID is all set for a major twist which will surely make the fans anxious. Actor Shivaji Satam, who is loved for the portrayal of ACP Pradyuman in the show, is making an exit from the show. A video clip of Shivaji Satam and Digmanshu Dhulia is also doing the rounds on social media where the latter can be seen pointing guns at him.
Sources close to the show informed us that his character will be shown dead. Tigmanshu Dhulia, who recently returned to CID as the ruthless and infamous Barbosa, leader of the Eye Gang will kill ACP Pradyuman. In the upcoming episodes, Barbussa (Tigmanshu Dhulia) will set off a bomb in an attempt to eliminate the CID team. While the rest of the members will survive, ACP Pradyuman will tragically lose his life. The production is also conducting auditions to cast an actor to play the role of new ACP. The search for an actor to play the new ACP is currently on and nobody has been finalised yet.
According to a report in India Today, the team has already shot for the episode and it is expected to go on-air soon.
During the comeback of CID season 2, Dayanand Shetty, who plays Daya, had shared his excitement about the return of the show, “Some characters are etched in the minds and hearts of the people, and Daya is one of them. I'm overwhelmed with the love and admiration that continues to pour in, even after all these years. The memes, the jokes, the references - it's all a testament to the impact that Daya has had on popular culture. I feel grateful and humbled to be reprising my role as Daya for a new season of CID, and I promise to bring the same intensity and passion that has made Daya such a loved character - it's time to break some more doors and solve some more cases,” he said.
CID returned to the small screen after a gap of six years in December last year with the second season and fans have been pouring immense love on the show. The season 2 stars Aditya Srivastava, Dayanand Shetty, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, Ansha Sayed, Ajay Nagrath, and Saumya Saraswat.
