In a recent twist of political merchandising, Donald Trump’s campaign has launched a new $36 “Trump Era” T-shirt, featuring a colorful grid of Trump’s photos that closely resembles Taylor Swift’s iconic Eras Tour merch.
This release follows Swift's high-profile endorsement of Democratic nominee
Kamala Harris.
On Instagram, Swift endorsed Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and urged voters to thoroughly research their choices.
The pop star also humorously signed off as “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady,” taking a direct dig at Former President Trump's running mate JD Vance’s 2021 comments derisively referring to Democrats as “childless cat ladies” who spread misery.
Vance, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, responded to Swift’s endorsement by downplaying her influence. Vance criticised Swift as a “billionaire celebrity” who is out of touch with the daily struggles of average Americans, particularly those grappling with rising prices. He argued that Swift's endorsement would not significantly impact most voters.

'We admire Taylor Swift's music but ... ' JD Vance on 'billionnaire celebrity' supporting Harris in Presidential raceTrump echoed similar sentiments, dismissing Swift's endorsement in an interview with “Fox & Friends.” Trump expressed a preference for
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, over Swift. He remarked, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” and criticised her as “very liberal,” suggesting that her endorsement would likely have minimal effect on the election.
In contrast, Tim Walz, Harris' running mate, embraced a more playful tone. Walz publicly thanked Swift for her support and made light-hearted comments, saying, “You mess with cat people and you will find out,” acknowledging his status as a cat owner.
