Main objectives – the specific objective of the project is to assist the National Statistics Office of Georgia in enhancing methodological soundless in standards and classifications, developing demographic and population statistics as well as strengthening the capacity of government institutions for the production and use of official statistics.
Main results - by the end of 2025- Georgian standards and methods on GSBPM and GAMSO are mostly comparable with corresponding international models; status of introduction of EU NUTS classification in Georgia, introduction of the national version of EU NUTS classification for Georgia started. The roadmap for the establishment of the population register developed, population projections established, data usage of Government institutions for decision-making enhanced.
