The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh couldn't hide his delight when Chaser Darragh Ennis made a "really stupid" mistake on the popular ITV quiz show.

Viewers were glued to their screens last Friday (May 10) as the beloved host introduced a fresh batch of contestants eager to win big. Henrik, Cassie, Angie, and Ryan stepped up to the challenge, hoping to outsmart the brainy Chaser and pocket the cash prize.

This time, they faced off against Darragh Ennis, who was determined to thwart the team's efforts. However, an unexpected slip-up by Darragh during Cassie's turn, who was playing for £4,000, left everyone in shock. The question that stumped the Chaser was: "What is the word scurrilous referred to?"

With options including bribery, running away, and making scandalous claims, Cassie correctly picked the latter, while Darragh mistakenly went for running away. After realizing his error, a chagrined Darragh confessed to Bradley: "Do you ever do something really stupid?

"I looked at the word and read scurry and didn't read the question properly and picked the wrong answer," reports the Daily Star. He ruefully noted: "It's a really bad miss from me." But Bradley, seizing the moment, joyfully responded: "It's a bad miss, but it's good for us!"

Thanks to the Chaser's mishap, Cassie advanced to the final chase, boosting the team's prize fund to a cool £10,000. In the nail-biting final chase, Cassie and Henrick were in the hot seat vying for the jackpot. The pressure was palpable as they tried to rack up the correct answers.

Unfortunately, their efforts yielded only 10 correct responses - a tally that even host Bradley found challenging. In the end, chaser Darragh swiftly dispatched the duo, leaving player Henrick to remark, "That was quick."

Darragh didn't mince words, telling them, "You completely underperformed in the final. Which is a shame as you performed well otherwise. You were very nervous and you didn't have a chance then."
