Board exams in India are held at both the national and state levels.

National-Level Boards:

• CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)
• CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations)
• NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) – for students who want to study for Class 10 and 12 without attending regular school.

International Boards in India:

• Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)
• International Baccalaureate (IB)

State-Level Boards:

Each state has its own board to conduct Class 10 and 12 exams. There are over 28 state boards in India.
Some states also hold exams for younger students:

• Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab conduct board exams for Class 5 and 8.
• Southern states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala conduct Class 11 (Plus One) exams.

State Boards with Separate Exams:

Eight states – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Odisha, West Bengal, and Telangana – have separate boards for Class 10 and 12.
For example, in Andhra Pradesh:

• BIEAP (Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh) conducts Class 11 and 12 exams.
• BSEAP (Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh) conducts Class 10 exams.

All board exam results are announced on the official websites of the respective boards.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for the 2024-2025 academic year on February 15, 2025. The Class 10 examinations will conclude on March 18, 2025, whereas the Class 12 examinations will conclude on April 4, 2025.

When Will the Results Be Announced?

CBSE is expected to declare the results in May 2025. Students can check their results on the official CBSE websites:

To view the results, students need:

• Roll number
• School number
• Admit card ID

How to Check Your CBSE Class X/XII Results

CBSE provides multiple ways for students to check their Class X and XII results. Here is how you can access them:

1. Online (Websites)

CBSE hosts its results online with the help of the National Informatics Centre (NIC). You can check your results on the following websites:

• www.results.nic.in
• www.cbseresults.nic.in
• www.cbse.nic.in

Schools will receive their complete results via email from CBSE.

2. Digital & Mobile Access

CBSE provides digital copies of mark sheets, migration certificates, and pass certificates through Parinam Manjusha, which is linked to DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in.

Students will receive DigiLocker login details via SMS on their registered mobile numbers.
Results can also be viewed on the UMANG mobile app (available for Android, iOS, and Windows smartphones).
CBSE results are available on the DigiResults app (Android).

3. IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)

Students can check their results by calling the numbers below:

• For Delhi: 24300699
• For other parts of India: 011-24300699

4. SMS Service

You can receive your results via SMS by sending a message in the following format:

• Class X: cbse10 <roll number> <school number> <center number> → Send to 7738299899
• Class XII: cbse12 <roll number> <school number> <center number> → Send to 7738299899

5. Google Search

You can also check your results directly on Google India.

6. SMS Organizer App

Another option is to use the SMS Organizer app, which you can download from the Play Store.

Important Points to Remember

• The online result is provisional. Students must collect their original mark sheets from their schools.
• To clear the exam, students need to obtain at least a minimum of 33% marks in each and every subject.
• If any student fails in a subject, CBSE will hold compartment exams. Details of these exams will be announced after the announcement of the main results.
