Enola Holmes 3: Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge Return For Film Instalment With Adolescence Director

Young detective Enola Holmes, who has some famous brothers, is off on another adventure with a third film in the series. Enola Holmes 3 is now filming, and several familiar faces are returning for the movie, which is being directed by Philip Barantini, the filmmaker behind 2025's breakout series Adolescence. Star and producer Millie Bobby Brown is back as the curious and clever detective, Enola, who is also related to Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill). The Witcher actor will be back as Enola's older brother, as will Louis Partridge as Lord Tewkesbury, Himesh Patel as Dr John Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Enola's mother, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.

Enola Holmes 3 is now in production in the UK. The synopsis for the film from Netflix states, "Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before."

The film will also see Enola tackling the next stage of her relationship with Tewkesbury (Partridge), which has been developing with each film. While Harry Bradbeer directed the first two films, Philip Barantini joins the franchise with this latest instalment. Jack Thorne, who wrote the previous films and Adolescence, also returns. The screenplay will be based on Nancy Springer's books The Enola Holmes Mysteries.

As a nod to one-take director Philip Barantini, Enola Holmes 3 stars Millie and Louis filmed a scene on the sets of their film with the camera following them around. Tewkesbury is late, and Enola is furious with him. But luckily, the two make up as the director catches them goofing off.

Stranger Things and The Electric State star Millie is a producer on the film along with her father, Bobby Brown; her husband, Jake Bongiovi, is an executive producer as well. The film will likely be released in 2026.
